About Jess Petersson

I was born in Denmark with dual nationality, Danish and Manx (Isle of Man). Since then I have lived, worked and raced all over the world. Today the outdoor paradise of Andalusia, Spain is home, and I enjoy sharing the endless trails, from guiding day hikes / runs on the trails, to extended running retreats.  I have worked internationally in the sports holiday industry since 1995. I love sharing the outdoors with people and designing bespoke experiences here in Andalusia, Spain as well as international retreats and destination running races in partnership with local experts. I speak English, Danish and German fluently, learning Spanish

Education and career:

  • I gained 3 degrees in law and political science from 3 continents.
  • My research area was international human rights and environmental law. 
  • I Lectured law and mentored law students globally, before a career as a Chartered HR professional in London.

Professional Awards: 

  • Olympic Delivery Authority Award for a Individuals Best Contribution to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.
  • National Management Excellence Award for Performance provided by the worlds largest employer.

Sport Bio: 

  • I was a equestrian, then a professional / elite long distance multisport athlete. 
  • Raced Pro / Elite Duathlon and Triathlon, with multiple Elite World and International Championship podiums (including a Gold and 5 Silver medals). 
  • 2x Olympian London 2012 and Rio 2016 (Marathon).
